Luis Eduardo Martínez Almanza Position: Advisor Country: Bolivia Email: lmartinez@snvworld.org Luis Eduardo Martínez, currently Advisor in Governance and Economic Development for SNV in Tarija and liaison officer for the implementation of the PFI in the Prefecture of Tarija, is a Bolivian national, with eight years experience in projects on subnational capacity building and decentralization processes in Bolivia. He has been consultant for IDB–USAID in Competitive Optimization Analysis in Cochabamba, Santa Cruz and Tarija, and for the drafting of the Strategic Plan of the Prefecture of Cochabamba. He was UNDP Coordinator of the Capacity Building Project for the Prefectures of Bolivia; Prefecture Management Expert for the Ministry of People’s Participation; Advisor to the Senior Finance Officers of the Municipal Government of La Paz; and Sales Director, Regional Business Manager, and National Sales Manager of Únete Telecomunicaciones, IFX Networks. He holds a diploma in municipal administration from NUR; in fiscal decentralization from the University of Chile, CCAD Bolivia; and in the drafting and evaluation of public investment projects, managerial strategy, from the University of the Andes, as well as general marketing from NUR University and business administration from the Gabriel René Moreno Autonomous University. | |

Juan Francisco Martínez Position: Advisor Country: Nicaragua Email: fmartinez@snvworld.org Juan Francisco Martínez, Advisor in Market Access for SNV, is an agronomist with experience in farm and food safety project drafting, implementation and management. He is now in charge of capacity building of organizations and companies with respect to marketing, quality management, and corporate development services, and inclusive business initiatives; capacity building of private-public sector partnership forums; the participation in knowledge networks; planning and implementation of training events. He has experience in labor relationships with international organizations and foreign investors and as coordinator and supervisor of farm projects. He is advisor to cooperative organizations, producer associations and private enterprises in the coffee, cocoa, sesame seed, tobacco, soybean, and vegetable growing sectors. He has worked in the private sector and with international cooperation organizations established in Nicaragua and with foreign partnerships such as the National Association of Business Cooperatives of the United States. He is president of a local organization in Nicaragua, CLUSA. He has written a handbook for the implementation of the internal monitoring system aimed at small coffee producers. | |

Miguel Méndez Position: Country Director Country: Nicaragua Email: mmendez@snvworld.org Miguel Ángel Méndez, has experience with private enterprise, international research centers, universities and nongovernmental organizations. He has worked on the development of indicators on rural poverty and alternatives for the sustainable management of agriculture, as well as the development of competitive environmental value chains that are socially inclusive and sustainable. He has provided advisory services in agriculture, business, public-private economic development, organizational and institutional capacity building, improvement of skills and competitiveness of companies working in the agribusiness and tourism sectors. He has been at the head of multidisciplinary and multicultural work teams. He is an agronomist specializing in agricultural economics, agribusiness and integrated pest management, with a degree from the El Zamorano Agricultural School in Honduras. He holds an executive master’s degree in business administration from INCAE. He is the co-author of Developing Regional Poverty Profiles Based on Local Perceptions; Methodological Guide for the Identification of Standards of Living for Building Local Rural Poverty Profiles; and Evaluation of the Atlas of Honduras (Atlas Mitch). | |

Pablo Molina Position: Advisor Country: Bolivia Email: pmolina@snvworld.org Pablo Molina, Medior Advisor in Governance for SNV, Amazon Region Portfolio, Bolivia, is a Bolivian national who holds a degree in business administration and has four years experience in business management, marketing, and public administration, working in the private sector, the government, and academic sector. He has been a consultant for USAID/IDB and member of the Development Committee for participatory planning, social monitoring, and deconcentration in departmental public administration. He is an instructor at the Bolivian Catholic University, General Manager of a marketing and export company for small producers and NGOs, and consultant in designing competitive strategies for the Prefecture of Tarija, Bolivia. He holds a master’s degree in business administration, a diploma in business and company generation, corporate strategy and business management from the San Pablo Bolivian Catholic University, and a certificate as local development agent from the Liceus-University of Alcalá Spain.
