Jamie Jenkins joined SNV in August 2011, and brings seven years of development experience to her role as Desk Officer for Ecuador and Regional Programs.  She has vetted social investment opportunities across Asia and Latin America for a leading US-based performance philanthropy firm which takes an investment banking perspective to giving, as well as managing the implementation of locally based projects and programs in Ecuador, primarily focused on microfinance and microenterprise. Before coming to SNV, Jamie managed the investment portfolio for Colombia and Bolivia of a German-based INGO with a cross-cutting focus on disability where she was a key actor in the reengineering of processes and standardization of M&E practices in the region.  In Ecuador, she played a key role in the creation of a line of credit at a leading microfinance institution that has enabled access for low-income people with physical disability to create or ramp-up their micro-enterprises. She holds a degree in Sociology and an MBA in International Economic Development, and is pursuing certification as a Project Management Professional.
