Noemi Danao Position: Regional Business Development Manager Country: Ecuador Email: ndanao@snvworld.org Noemí Danao brings 20 years of Latin American development experience to SNV, from on-the-ground project implementation to region-wide program development. She has held leadership positions including Executive Director and Development Director, and is currently the Country Representative for SNV Nicaragua. Noemi has extensive experience in institutional development and change management, which includes founding an NGO, leading an organization from bankruptcy to profitability, and diversifying and strengthening income sources and partnerships. She received her B.A. in Social Sciences from U.C. Berkeley, and was the first graduate student to jointly pursue an M.S. in Community Development and an M.B.A. from the Graduate School of Management at U.C. Davis. Her masters thesis, which explored the role of national NGOs as global-local intermediaries as seen through child labor mitigation in coffee production, received university honors. While her last position allowed her to live in the cloud forest of Monteverde, Costa Rica, she now resides in the urban jungle of Managua. Noemi joined SNV in 2008. | |
