"Inclusive businesses are a very good chance for established companies to grow and for new ones to be set up, giving opportunities to committed people with initiative, and combining social and economic aspects.”

R. Maldonado, President of Colineal

What is Inclusive Business?

Since 2006, SNV LA has focused its efforts on advancing Inclusive Business (www.inclusivebusiness.org), an entrepreneurial initiative which aims to contribute towards poverty alleviation by including low-income communities within the value chain, while not losing sight of the ultimate goal of business, namely generating profit.

What our partners say about us

"The assistance provided by SNV was extremely timely. It arrived at the moment in which the Ministry for Coordination and Social Development was being created, and contributed refreshing ideas to the issue of economic inclusion, a fundamental objective shared by both organisations. At the same time, this has allowed us to efficiently articulate public and private efforts [...] SNV has contributed with methodologies to be tested jointly, in order to transfer these to other actors. I appreciate the honesty of the work developed by SNV in support of our National Plan for Economic Inclusion. I strongly encourage SNV to convey to international organisations the importance of economic inclusion to further our national poverty alleviation agenda."

Nathalie Cely, Ecuadorian Minister for Production, Competitivity and Commercialisation
